Death In Venice is a brief, but incredibly powerful look at obsession, the loss of youth, and the potential detriment of an artistic temperament.

Drinking + Fiona Apple = Incredibly Depressed.
This is the novel of the 20th Century.
Super by James Gunn is a frightening, depressing, hilarious, and altogether fantastic look at the type of person that would follow through with becoming a real life “superhero”. For one, Mr. Wilson’s performance as the possibly psychotic Frank has earned him my respect. Secondly, Ellen Page is perfect as the most assuredly psychotic, carnage obsessed Liby. Gunn’s direction is frantic, gonzo, and a great compliment to a unique storyline that is grounded in a disturbing, bone crunching, blood spurting realism.
